Heated-water stretching and post-workout recovery

Warming and stretching your muscles has never been easier. With the ability to set water temperature as high as 104 degrees Fahrenheit (40°C), get all the benefits of a hot tub with enough room for full-body range of motion. The combination of heat, hydrostatic pressure, and buoyancy makes it easier to stretch and rehabilitate weight-bearing injuries. Get your blood flowing pre-workout, or kick back in a massage seat post-workout to clear blood lactate and ease your tired muscles.

Stretch-cord rowing and resistance training

With the included stretch-cords and optional Resistance & Rowing Kit, resistance exercises are a snap in or out of the water. Stretch cords offer anchored swimming and resistive stroke mechanics to target form and control. Rowing attachments allow you to focus on upper-body symmetry and low-impact strength conditioning. Any number of exercise combinations may be achieved to match your fitness level and goals.

Stationary leg kicks

Use the stainless steel grab bar to isolate lower extremities. With swim jets and buoyancy jets on and your body in the horizontal position, perform stationary leg kicks to strengthen hip flexors, glutes and hamstrings (especially great for runners). Or, turn the jets off with your body in the vertical position to work on leg squats, calf raises and step aerobics. If walking on dry land is a challenge, but it is safe for you to engage in aquatic rehabilitation, walking against the flow of swim jets on a low setting may help to improve your balance, stability and stamina.

Swim-stroke mechanics

Slow down the flow rate of swim jets to practice different swim strokes. With less emphasis on power and speed, isolating each position of your stroke helps to improve technical form and efficiency. Then, gradually increase the flow rate of swim jets to practice these fundamentals with more challenge. Even if competitive swimming is not the goal, the ability to improve your swim technique helps you become a safer and stronger swimmer. Plus, it helps to identify points of tension and limited range of motion.

Muscle isolation and joint-friendly conditioning

ATV are as individualistic as you need them to be. Target specific muscle groups or individual muscles to improve elasticity, strength and endurance. Gentle range of motion exercises, along with the benefits of heat and hydrostatic pressure, help to reduce swelling and ease joint discomfort. Working the kinks out of all your trouble spots feels great, and helps to improve your quality of life each day.

With the water set to a low and safe temperature, swim for as long as your heart desires.
